What is a SOLICITOR in ENGLAND & WALES?
The Solicitor is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales who can provide legal advice, represent clients in court and draft legal documents. Solicitors work in a variety of legal areas, including business law, property law, family law, criminal law, employment law, and tax law.
Solicitors are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which is the professional regulatory body for solicitors in England and Wales. Solicitors must adhere to the ethical and professional standards set out by the SRA.

How do you become a SOLICITOR in ENGLAND & WALES?
To become a solicitor in England and Wales, there are several steps to follow. First of all, you must obtain a law degree recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Then you have to take the Solicitor's Qualifying Examination (SQE), complete a two-year internship called a training contract in a firm recognized by the SAR and obtain a Practising Certificate. Once you have passed the exam and obtained your Practising Certificate, you can register with the Law Society as a solicitor.

The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is a unique and rigorous examination for all aspiring solicitors in England and Wales. As of 2021, all qualified lawyers must take the SQE exam to become a solicitor in England and Wales.

How is the SQE exam prepared?
The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is a two-stage examination :
- SQE 1 - (Knowledge of the Law) : The SQE1 part is a 6-hour exam that consists of 180 multiple-choice questions. SQE1's two Functional Legal Knowledge (FLK) assessments include the areas of Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Contract, Tort, English and Wales Legal System, Constitutional and Administrative Law, and European Union Law and Legal Services (FLK 1). Property practice; wills and administration of estates; solicitors' accounts; land law; trusts; criminal law and practice (FLK 2). The training takes place on-site in Cameroon and the exam takes place in Cairo, Egypt with VISA GUARANTEED.
- SQE 2 - (Skills & Practices) : The SQE2 part is a 12-hour exam that consists of 16 practice tasks. Practical tasks at SQE2 include practical legal skills such as drafting legal documents, negotiating, advocating and solving legal problems. The training takes place on-site in Cameroon and the exam takes place only in England with VISA GUARANTEED.
Eligibility conditions :
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws or a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
- Have a valid passport
Admission requirements :
Admissions are based on file studies.

- Certified copy of birth certificate and valid passport
- A letter of application for admission addressed to the Promoter
- Certified copy of the Baccalaureate transcript and the transcripts and certificate of successful completion of the Bachelor's degree in Law.

How to apply:
After having put together the complete file mentioned above, please submit it to the secretariat of the Developer's Office in Douala located on the 2nd floor of the Labacorp building opposite the Serena de Bonamoussadi hotel in Sable.
